Housekeeping Part 2

Organization is such an underrated chore. It's always a difficult decision whether to throw away something or not. This is true with digital files as well. An outdated word document user's manual of your old phone. Throw away or not? Not. A PDF containing chords of old songs. Throw away or not? Not...and the list goes on....

Photos are definitely keepers...blurry or not..Here are a few more I'd like to share. I remember my DSLR was just a few days old then. Come to think of it, some actually didn't look too bad considering I didn't have the camera for long.

These were taken the day after Thanksgiving of 2006. Angel and I decided to drive to Santa Barbara for the day:

Housekeeping Part 1

For several weeks now, I have been doing some serious housekeeping. Too early for spring cleaning you say but no, I am doing some housekeeping on my 500GB external hard drive which is in danger of running out of space really soon.

Not too long ago, having a 500GB hard drive was like moving into a 2000 sq ft. home from a 500 sq. ft. apartment. There's so much room in the house that you start acquiring things with reckless abandon without regard for where you're actually gonna store them due to the seemingly unlimite space. A few years later, your car is parked by the street because even your garage is filled to the brim. Housekeeping and a garage sale is then in the offing. And that's where I'm at right now - getting rid of files to free up space in my 2000 sq ft home I call a hard drive.

As I am throwing away stuff, I found tons of photos from the past years of which I want to share with you. I won't be posting all of them but just a few favorite ones. Let me start off with these few photos taken on a hike at nearby El Moro Canyon Trail near Crystal Cove.

Good samaritans now come in the form of mountain bikers. This biker helped us find our way in this vast trail.

First post..again

This is technically not my first journal posting but it is for my very own personal blog. You see, I created a journal for our then newborn son, Rafael Joseph last year. It is a means to update family members (literally distant) of the latest news about him. I noticed that recently, his blog has evolved into my blog - things that are going on with me and that's not what the family wants to read so here I am starting one for just myself...
